Nature & Parks
Château de Chantilly is a grand estate that has been rebuilt after the Revolution, boasting a remarkable art collection, an equine museum, and beautiful gardens. The chateau itself is a blend of old and new architecture, with buildings from different eras surrounded by a moat. Once owned by the Duc d'Aumale, it now houses the Conde Museum which showcases an impressive collection of art. Visitors can explore the Large Suites and Reading Room among other attractions.
One of the most beautiful chateau I have ever visited. Highlight to the incredible amount of pieces of art inside the chateau. I felt that I had a double experience: a chateau and an art museum at same time!Be ready to walk a lot, by the way. The area around the main building is beautiful and huge. Plan to stay at least 4 hours here (and feel free to bring your food to do a picnic in the beautiful garden if the weather allows).

The castle is surrounded by serene ponds and lush greenery, creating a truly relaxing and picturesque atmosphere. We visited on a Sunday, and there weren’t too many tourists, so the entire guided tour went smoothly. You can download the official app and use airpods to learn about the features of each room. The art collection inside is impressive, featuring works by renowned artists like Raphael. Additionally, I highly recommend checking out the library’s collection—there are many manuscripts of significant historical value. The garden, with its fountains, is beautiful, and taking a stroll there on a pleasant day is absolutely wonderful.

Impressive castle from the outside thanks to the surrounding lake adding a medieval feel. Insides it’s mostly artwork and only a few rooms with furniture. The private apartments, where the bedrooms and bathrooms are, are for some reason closed to the public unless you book a completely unnecessary guided tour for extra 7€ which is only available in French. The whole visit isn’t cheap (18€ entrance + 7€ for the guided tour and trains from Paris are 9€ per direction so it’s 40€ altogether) and I don’t know it’s worth the money. Versailles costs the same and you get so much more.
Dorin — Google review
Magnificent Chateau that’s greatly maintained. It’s not over crowded and there’s good collection of paintings. Loved the library as well as the walk in the park. We didn’t know that we could bring food in to have a picnic there. Parking was available nearby.

We wanted to see an interesting sight outside Paris but near the airport. We chose Chateau de Chantilly without realizing what a great choice it was! It has all the rooms nicely furnished and art is everywhere. It has the second largest number of art pieces on exhibit in France (second to the Louvre). It's also a beautiful chateau at the edge of town with forest around it. Very picturesque ponds, lawn, and waking areas. We were there in winter, but must be very nice to stroll around in summer. They also have the largest horse stables in France. The town is also nice to visit. It was decorated very well for Christmas!

Very nice place and awesome rich French history. Highly recommend using the guided tour if you dont know much about french history so you know what you are looking at. Its additional when you get tickets but is well worth it. Don't miss out the original of Mona Lisa and understand why and how the art room is arranged, very meaningful. As souvenir, the soap is very nice option. Leaves a very long lasting but not too strong yet rich scent. My personal opinion and 2 cents after the visit hope you find it useful.

What an amazing castle, As a photographer I could not ask for more with stunning reflection shots. Inside wall to wall art. But I would avoid saturdays like we did as there was many people.

Not too far from Paris you can go visit this beautiful Chateau and it’s impressive garden by Le notre. It’s a good destination for a day trip outside of Paris accessible by train 🚊The castle is nice to visit with beautiful paintings and architecture. The garden is amazing and huge a lot of walking to discover everything ( you can rent little gold cars if you don’t like to walk). They also have an impressive Horse museum (included in the ticket, no extra charge) and the do horse show at specific times of the day 🐎.We had such a great time visiting Chantilly we also saw Kangourou (was a first for me haha)I recommend 👍🏻

I don't know where to start, but I loved the visit to this gem.Spectacular countryside for walking, sunbathing, picnicking, biking.Family and animal friendly. The castle is exquisite in its decoration and everything it proposes and shows.I also loved the possibility of eating there.Chantilly in Chantilly is a MUST!

Le château de Chantilly:Wonderful experience and tour. The castle is so beautiful and has such a rich history. It’s been owned and renovated several times from previous French leaders and princes, which is reflected in the art work and room item architecture. This castle was interesting since it’s not as old as other châteaux that I have visited so that was a treat.Musée du Cheval:Along with the tour of the entire castle and the chapelle, we were also able to visit the Musée du cheval (The Horse Museum) which is near the castle on the left side of the grounds. This was my favorite experience since we got to visit the horse Écuries (stables) and the actual horses. There were horseback riders presenting their horses and their tricks, too.Food:There was a nice café, which was a nice place to relax and take a break. This café is located near the stables. I purchased the day pass which included both the castle tour and the horse museum, so if you want to visit both, be sure to purchase the correct ticket for the entire grounds. On the grounds of the actual castle, there is a fancy restaurant to eat at. It’s a bit more expensive but it seems worth it!Kid-Friendly:Definitely kid friendly and there are several fun activities and informational videos in the museums.

Frankly I didn’t visited the palace inside but walked around it. I was here to attend a music event and I was fully mesmerised by the beauty of it. The lush green garden in summer with the castle made me feel like I am in past.

I wanted to visit Chateau de Chantilly since last year when I first saw the castle. It was a place that I wanted to see for quite some time and I left kind of disappointed at the end.The tickets are with normal prices, but you have to pay separately for the audio guide, which I have not seen anywhere else in Europe. Usually you get the audio guide for free or at least this was the thing with the places that I have visited. The palace itself is very beautiful and we liked every single room, especially the library, but everything was kinda messy with the audio guide. It is just not structured good for me.We also took a walk in the gardens to see the peacocks and the kangaroos. You could definitely spend a full day in the chateau.
Adelina K — Google review
Beautiful chateau and grounds. Has an art gallery wing as well. Did not have a chance to visit the stables but it is as large as the chateau itself! Far less busy than Versailles
Mark H — Google review
Amazing Chateau and Gardens. Well worth visiting. Close to Paris. You won't be disappointed.
Trevor G — Google review
Absolutely stunning experience… visiting the Chateau can be a full day trip: walking the surrounding park, walking the interior of the castle, plus the equestrian show if you pay the ticket (€32 and €18 the plain visit). Inside the property there are a few options of restaurants and cafes. Lots of people making picnics on the green lawn. You can rent a golf cart to explore the park on your own or there’s a little tourist train which is free for kids under 4 years old. We had a dessert in a cut cafe Normand style: fresh strawberries with a generous dollop on top of authentic chantilly cream, what a treat!

This was an interesting museum to visit and learn more about the horse history in the area and how it evolved overtime. I was lucky enough to see a show by the very talented riders. I am not a big horse person, but I would highly recommend the show. What they have been able to train the horses to do is incredible! My video shows so of it but does not do it justice.

A Nice place for thé horse lovers there is a show as well callled équinoxe worth the visit but it is seasonal only during specific period

To visit even if not a horse fanatic. The museum is small and well arranged by theme. What is particularly amazing are the ‘live’ activities be sure not to miss it because they are scheduled at specific times (16:30 the time we went). There is a nice cafe inside to take a break.
David ( — Google review
A beautiful museum dedicated to horses in a magnificent building. Don't miss the dressage or the shows if you can but be warned, there is NO numbered seating and it is chaotic trying to sit together as a family. They could organise this much better.
W D — Google review
The horse show is terrible.1st reason is the show is in French that you don’t understand anything, second thing is you dont see anything interesting. Horses dont jump or I dont know, they dont do anything interesting. They are just walking. You can see walkers horses anywhere in a rural area. No need to pay for this show.
Mikail B — Google review
Educational and beautiful museum about the history of man and horses, with the ability to visit some of the living ones in the grand stables.

A one of kind equestrian museum, with live demonstrations as well as incredible static displays. You can easily spend an entire day between the museum and adjacent chateau and gardens. A short train ride from Paris.
Matthew F — Google review
I went to the horse museum with my best friend for an private event. It was a bit cold. But we had the chance to walk through the alleys and admire the beauty of the place. The color, the smell ( you like or you don’t). I believe they have also activities for kids.
Jenyfer J — Google review
Visiting the stables and seeing the "dressage" show really worth it. The rest of the museum is quite boring.

If you don’t speak France I suggest you just skip the show (about 40mins) and pay you time in the museum or in the castle.

Excellent park for thrill seekers! Lots of roller-coasters and otherwise sensational rides. The Roman VS Gallois show is also a must see! The food is well priced, as are the fast pass tickets. I definitely recommend this park!!

We had an amazing time at the amusement park in France! The roller coasters were absolutely thrilling—perfect for adrenaline junkies. My child had a blast, and there were plenty of rides suitable for all ages, which made it a fantastic family day out. The park was clean, well-organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was lively, and there were many attractions beyond just the rides, including fun shows and games. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, and we highly recommend it for families looking for excitement and adventure!

Nice amusement park! 🎢🎡🎠 Lots of attractions for kids and thrill seekers! Coming around Christmas was great! Queues were not too long but can imagine on a sunny day you spend most of the time waiting. The theaters and shows were great.

Fun theme park just outside of Paris. My wife grew up with the books so she was hugely excited to visit. We stayed at the hotel in the park which is also themed from the books. The hotel stay includes park entry and 30min early access. The hotel, meals and room were fantastic. The park itself is even more impressive. Generally clean (if you can get used to people smoking literally everywhere), rides that went down for maintenance were back up and running same day and everything stays true to the theme. I would brave France for a repeat visit.

Great and massive place, but I believe you need for sure 2 days! Even though it is far from Paris, it's worth the effort!
Stamatis K — Google review
Absolutely recommended for everyone. Really nice attractions, however a lot of things are only in french. But even those who don't speak french will have an amazing experience here. The crowd was big, but not that huge. The main point of coming here is because Disneyland is extremely crowded with over a hour wait time on all rides and it's extremely expensive as we would have payed almost 1000euros for 2 person which is ridiculous. Here we got away with 200€
Ákos B — Google review
We had the best time at this Parc and hotel. Highly recommend. Great for family or thrill seekers. Exceeded our expectations. Queues midday were getting long. So recommend the fast passes in peak season.

Spent 2 days here, the park was fairly busy. Having last visited 22 years ago it was amazing to see all the changes. The park oozes quality but with its unique and insane storytelling at heart. Combines with excellent Staff, world class rides and exceptional themeing this really is one of Europes best theme parks.
Stevewalsh1987 — Google review
I love it. The park is nicely decorated. What I like about it is that there are a lot of rollercoasters for adults and not only for kids like in Disneyland. I put 4 stars because the waiting time is way too long. 1h30 approx for each rollercoaster.

Sauberer Vergnügungspark. Nicht so überfüllt. Viele Achterbahnen, mussten nur zweimal ca. 20 Minuten anstehen. Sonst max. 5 Minuten.Essen eher teuer.(Translated by Google)Clean amusement park. Much more better than Disneyland! I mean with one ticket I could even watch "olympic games", theatre, and acrobatic performances, enjoy the attractions, learn about french culture jokes and stories. Super good experience! Another wonderful thing is that the park reserves the place for family with kids to play and rest, it's very relaxing.Only one thing I don't understand is that if the official shuttle bus is from RATP, why Navigo holders need to pay for bus?
LANZE L — Google review
Beautiful winter day. Great park with loads of rides and play areas in a small area! Can see your favourite characters and discover some new ones.
Susie M — Google review
Better than Disneyland in my opinion. Although we went during a public holiday it wasn’t that crowded. For some attractions we’ve waited up to on hour while for others only 20 minutes. The ambiance was really nice, the park was clean and the staff quite friendly. The food and beverage are a bit too expensive though
Costin S — Google review
Great theme park. Smaller than other parks so easy to get around and the queues were about 20 to 30 minutes for most rides. Roller-coaster queues were longer. Really nice theming and good choice of food items.
Adele H — Google review
Can't believe it took me this long to visit, but normally we drive past on our way to Disneyland and then we've had our share of theme park excitement for a while. This Halloween however we made it a point to visit and try the new coaster. Both Toutatis and the park surprised, as did the hotel and Halloween celebrations. We'll definitely return.
Bjorn H — Google review
Great rides and shows. A lot to do for every ages. The app is annoying as need to have the phone in hands all the time also it offers limited customer experience I found Signalisation in the park needs improvement, there is too much information everywhere and not clear enough/not easy to navigate when we are with kids. Some restaurants close early & some open later means at 5-6pm there is no dinner options in some area unless walking a lot. Also it needs more food variety and some menu cater for intolerant person. It’s very hard to find water refill fountain, staff doesn’t know and one said go to the toilet !! Instead they prefer to sell every drink in plastic bottle which is not good. We finally found one tap after 2 days in the park with drinking water in the halte des chevaliers! They need to really evolve and improve the customer experience like in Legoland, futuroscope, Disneyland or parks like these where international travelers are used to visit. All the games with giant low quality stuffies are a bit out of concept and looks like we are in a village funfair thing it’s a shame.
Christophe G — Google review
Lots of big rides and great theming. Was packed when we visited so recommend getting a silver fast pass to ensure you get a go on everything at least once.Toutatis was the headline ride, get there for rope drop and run to ride that first. It had a big queue in the morning but ended up being about 30/40 mins queue later in the day.Great ride ops, great theming, great park.Doable in a day.
Kevin M — Google review
We had an absolutely brilliant day at Parc Asterix! Staying at the park hotel made the whole experience even more convenient, allowing us to fully enjoy our time in the park. We treated ourselves to fast passes, though the queues were never more than 30 minutes, so they weren’t always necessary. All the rides were fantastic, and with our daughters, aged 10 and 12, being tall enough for everything, we were able to experience the entire park. The water rides were especially enjoyable, providing much-needed refreshment in the sun.We ate at the park and enjoyed most of the food, though we noticed that some restaurants had limited vegetarian options. One downside was that we didn’t find anywhere to fill up our water bottles, so we had to nip back to the hotel to refill them.Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend Parc Asterix to others!

(Translated by Google) At Belenos, at Toutatis! It was a nice show in 2010 and well educationally substantiated, but unfortunately the only relationship I could find with the world of Asterix was the "Babaorum". Because no, it doesn't belong anywhere, and certainly not in the generally friendly character of Parc Asterix. The park has depicted many themes, cultures and history, but this "Babaorum" can be left far behind in history.I still have photos of the Dolphin Show, I am posting them with this review out of respect for these graceful animals. That which was was must not be lost pointlessly. It is also to be able to see clearly that the only right place for these animals is the wild.Update 2023: fortunately the dolphins and sea lions are gone and this attraction has been converted into an acrobatic diving show with people (who are indirectly fed with this show). There are now -no- animals left in captivity in Parc Asterix. Birds build nests in the big trees, Wild boars keep themselves cleverly hidden, and that is exactly like in the Asterix comic books. We have seen many abbeys around France, so finding this one had good reviews made it an easy decision to visit. My guess, however, is that those reviews are maybe for the hotel rather than for the abbey as a visitor attraction. The entrance is very expensive for what you get. Only a handful of rooms are open, and the only one that will last in the memory is the monks dining room. The rest are just empty spaces with no real character or interest. The proposed route begins with a cave filled with old light bulbs, with no explanation why this might be of interest. Then you go past various kitchen gardens, which are mostly abandoned to weeds. On reaching the building you ever the cloister (no access to the garden) and the few open rooms are all accessed from there. You could do the whole thing in 10 minutes.

I also really liked the well-stocked bookstore, where you can find lots of things about the Middle Ages, about monasteries, but also tips for tourists about things to do in the Île de France.

An extraordinary lunch prepared by an exquisite and enthusiastic chef using fresh local ingredients --- C'est magnifique! The 13th century Abbaye was used as the site of the Scottish Womans Hospital more than 100 years ago to recuperate soldiers of the Great War who were wounded on the front, our grandfather among them. The history overwhelms while the ambiance delights and the flavor excites. We fully recommend Royaumont Abbey as a must-do experience for anyone in the area.

The abbey is wonderful to visit for an afternoon. You’ve got plenty of space to chill, especially when you have a sunny day. And it’s easy to park. The shop offers many nice goodies and books related to the middle age. And the staff is smiling. If you’re considering making an event, such as a seminar or a wedding, that’s a good place to be. They are professional about planning events, so I definitely recommend it.

I did not sleep at the abbey, but came for a company event (200+ people) for dinner. The spot is magnificent, organizations was great and the restaurant location was just amazing, right in the church part. Deco was plot to perfection and all the menu was excellent. Service was top as well, so I can only highly recommend the place from an event&culinary perspective.

DISHONEST and RUDE.I asked a simple question about the fidelity program, she couldn't answer. She refused to call her manager to ask, but told me to go to her manager's office to ask. Then she slipped that her manager isn't working today (it's Sunday) and got angry when I asked why she LIED and pushed me to an imaginary office to find someone who isn't working today! She then ignored me and started serving the white people behind us.

Nice mall located nearby the CDG airport. I stayed at Hyatt House and it is reachable by walking. The main anchor brands for fashion and cosmetics are there. The food section is adequately available with the fair price range (there is an incredibly good Thai-Vietnamese restaurant inside: a must-try!)

The imposing, domed white Sacré-Cœur Basilica was built in 1875 after the Franco-Prussian War and the Paris Commune. It is a symbol of the conservative Catholic old guard and contrasts with the bohemian lifestyle that surrounded it. The breathtaking view from its upper parvis over Paris is a major draw for visitors.
This is one of the best locations to visit while in Paris. I would say first place, especially if you aren't lazy enough to walk around and inhale the spirit of old Paris. Each time we visit this Basilica we find something new!

The Sacré-Cœur Basilica, also known as the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris, was completed in 1914 and consecrated in 1919. It was built as a symbol of hope and faith following the Franco-Prussian War and the Paris Commune, intended to serve as a spiritual beacon for the city.Visitors can climb the 300 steps to the top of the dome for a breathtaking panoramic view of Paris. This vantage point is one of the highest in the city, offering a spectacular 360-degree view.Despite being a major tourist attraction, the basilica maintains a serene and spiritual atmosphere. The peaceful environment, especially during early mornings or late evenings, offers a reprieve from the bustling city below.Entry Fee: Entry to the basilica is free, but there is a small fee to access the dome and the crypt.Photography: Photography is allowed inside the basilica, but flash and tripods are prohibited to maintain a respectful environment. The Sacré-Cœur Basilica is not only an architectural gem but also a spiritual haven that offers some of the best views of Paris.

This place was unexpected. Our tour guide took us here without having known of it prior to going and boy were we surprised how beautiful and amazing it was! From the first time we saw it while walking up through the alley to the time spent walking through the church to admire all the detail we were captivated! And if that wasn’t enough when you walk out you will see some of the best views of Paris! It is well worth the trip! Do some research before going if you require any assistance getting around as there are cobble streets and a steady incline getting to and leaving the area.

A cathedral on the highest point in Paris, in a gorgeous neighborhood that is a must for visitors, and with separate (paid) access to the top!The interior is beautiful, but if you are able I recommend paying to climb the almost three hundred stairs to reach the top of the dome. See pics of the view below...Just be warned, the stairway up is very small and tight and twirly and just keeps going up and up. Not for anyone who is very tall or heavy, or has weak knees. But otherwise it's amazing!

A must visit church if you are in Paris. You can reach here either by stairs or rope way or cab. On foot route via stairs is slightly difficult due to large number of stairs. The church is very beautiful from both inside and outside. Entry to church is free, but if you want to go to the top for 360 degree view of Paris, you will have to buy ticket. Do dress appropriately for church rosy you might be denied entry.

A Beautiful building and great panoramic views of ParisDefinitely a must-do in Paris fantastic location and a truly iconic Parisian building. Its easy to get to from the metro and you can use the funicular railway if you don't want to walk the steps. Only downside plenty of hawkers there and some are very pushy. so many tourists and pilgrims stay here. An uphill climb entails but a funicular ride saves the day. People peddling souvenirs, street artist showing their talent and a huge crowd enjoying the scenery and admiring the views and the beautiful basilica. Inside the church however, it must be quiet with lots of the visitors praying. It is open to the public and meditation are continuous.

We arrived at this place in the evening, around 5:00 PM. The basilica is truly impressive with its grandeur and the number of people waiting to get inside. Unfortunately, we didn’t purchase a ticket and didn’t want to wait more than an hour in line, but we enjoyed the surroundings. The view of Paris from there is absolutely breathtaking.

The Basilica of Sacré-Cœur, perched atop the highest point in the city on Montmartre Hill, is a stunning architectural masterpiece that attracts visitors from around the world. Its striking white dome and intricate mosaics are not only visually impressive but also make it one of the most recognizable landmarks in Paris.Upon entering the basilica, visitors are greeted by an awe-inspiring interior featuring one of the world’s largest mosaics, “Christ in Glory,” which adds to the spiritual ambiance of the space. The basilica is a place of worship and reflection, inviting guests to pause and appreciate its serene atmosphere. The panoramic views from the steps of Sacré-Cœur are simply breathtaking, offering a sweeping vista of the Paris skyline. It’s a perfect spot for photography, especially during sunset when the city is bathed in golden light. While the basilica can get crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons, its beauty and tranquility make the visit worthwhile. Whether you’re exploring the art and history, enjoying the views, or attending a mass, the Basilica of Sacré-Cœur is an unforgettable experience that captures the essence of Parisian charm.

It was absolutely beautiful. Once you make it to the top, the views are stunning. The inside of the church is awesome. all of the little locks on all the fences, millions of them.. a man was outside, entertaining, playing his guitar and singing. I highly recommend it you must go.. but a warning you must wear comfortable shoes and be in decent shape to climb the millions of stairs to get to the top. I had to take several breaks before we made it up, but it was very well worth it.

Extremely beautiful and free entry to the cathedral. There was a line but it moved very quickly, pretty much walked in. There are signs to a panoramic view in the dome tower which I missed. It looked cool! Would recommend relaxing on the steps or grass area in front as well. Soak up the Paris skyscape.

Just take photos in front of is a great experience with stunning views from the front. However, be prepared for a challenging climb up the stairs, as it can be quite exhausting. Additionally, the nearby restrooms only accept cash, so it’s a good idea to carry some with you. Overall, the visit is worth it for the beautiful photo opportunities and the impressive architecture.

Nice, short and free visit to this Basilique, with great views of the city. There was huge crowd when I visited. If you want to climb up to the top of dome to get panaromic view of city, its chargeable at €8 per person. There is no elevator, so you should have no mobility issues if you are planning to give it a try!!

A beautiful place and a must if you visit Paris. The Basilica is really beautiful and it is collocated in the north zone of Paris, a little far away from the centre. From the top of the stairs, it is possible to admire the city. The only downside in this place are the people that try to force you to buy bracelets while you are going up the stairs. You really need to be careful as they tend to grab you and force you to buy something.

Beautiful church with incredible architecture and history, there are also stairs that lead to the top of the church where you can see the entire city of Paris. However it is 300 stairs so going to the top was challenging. Overall the Church is a must visit when visiting Paris.

The Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre is an architectural marvel. Perched atop the highest point in Paris, its gleaming white domes stand out against the skyline. The Roman-Byzantine design, with its grand domes and intricate mosaics, is breathtaking.Climbing the steps to the basilica, I was rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the city. The interior is equally impressive, with beautiful stained glass windows and a serene ambiance that invites reflection and admiration. It is truly a must-see landmark in Paris.

A beautiful cathedral high up in Paris. Best visited later in the evening when visitor numbers drop off. In the meantime there are lots of shops and restaurants near the Basilica. And great views over Paris. When you do get into the Basilica it's an amazing and calming experience. There are staff there to enforce the (minimal) rules which include being quiet and wearing appropriate clothing. But these rules are not hard to abide by and it makes for a more comfortable experience for all including those who come to worship. There is a central area purely for prayer and quiet contemplation. Walking around the edge gives a good view of the architecture - just remember to look up occasionally.

Of course it is full of tourists, and of course you have to sit down on the stairs and enjoy the view, of course it is high on a hill and you have to walk up. But it is worth it.Those who expect no crowd, should not choose Paris for a city visit, because Paris is Paris. And it is lovely ❤️

This is one of the most beautiful Basilicas we have visited in Europe 😍For the religious Catholic visitors, this sacred temple will be a very moving and mystical experience. Do not miss the opportunity to live it 🙏In the other hand, for non-religious visitors, this is a beautiful Basilica, with a remarcable architecture and an amazing view of Paris from one of the heights points of the city ❤️100% recommended 👍

A beautiful church on the hill. Top tip - go on a Sunday morning when they have the service as you get in for free, but respect the no photography rule. Otherwise you can go during normal opening hours and pay the small fee to enter. We went in the early hours of the morning and there was barely anyone around in the area.

I can't believe I've been to Paris 5-6 times over the years but have never been to Sacre Coeur before. It is incredible? We took the funicular which was fun and then too in the incredible view from the top. The walk up 293 stairs to the top of the dome was tough after a day's sightseeing but was worth it for the breathtaking view. I didn't mind paying €8 per person to go up as there is no charge to go into the Basilica itself, unlike so many other similar churches across the world. Go - it's worth it.

Highly recommend! Free to visit! We joined a walking tour, and this basilica was our first stop. One can climb the 260+ stairs to come up the hill or take the uphill train (with a one time ticket or a transportation card). The history of this basilica is controversial but the architecture itself is a piece of art. It’s free admission to visit inside, and one will find amazing staining glass windows.Basilica has a mini shop that sells rosary and other religious items.Recommend 20-30 minutes inside and outside.

Beautiful Church (although I didn't get a chance to go in as I was already exhausted from the walk that started at Moulin Rogue to the top of this church. I had blisters when I stopped walking). But to see the building was beautiful! There's a lot you can see and try out during your walk. It's very slope so prepare your calves and heels. I even wore boots and my feet were hurting.

The world's most popular art museum, the Louvre houses a vast collection of artefacts from all over the world. With iconic masterpieces like Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa and two statues from Greece, it is no wonder why the Louvre is so popular. With rooms devoted to furniture, tapestries, and ornate objects, there is something for everyone at the Louvre Museum.
It was beautiful I spent a little under half a day there and I really enjoyed myself. The entire museum was beautiful but my favorite part was definitely the fine art upstairs. You can get free tickets on the website (if you meet certain requirements) but be sure to get them early whether the same day or a couple of days before if you’re going during the busy season.

Wow. What a museum. We honestly saw all the art we wanted to in 3 hours. Went late on the day on Friday (open late). Smaller crowds.*** mummy section closed on Friday — that did cut our trip short. Be sure to get to the lower levels and walk what was the mote when the museum was originally a fort.

The greatest museum humanity has to offer.I thought the hermitage museum is Russia was the best the world had. I was so wrong. We got our timed tickets for 9am, and waited in the secret underground line to avoid the cold weather. You go under an escalator and line up underneath the reverse pyramid. You can google it for a guide! We were there at 8 with only a couple people ahead of us, and saw the Mona Lisa in a near empty room. With that out of the way we spent 4h and 40,000 steps walking around and precariously standing near tour guides. I wish we paid for a guide ourselves! The marble sculptures were what I went for, and it was jaw dropping. Eat before or after though.

Biblical art was absolutely breathtaking, gigantic beautiful pieces which looked magnificent in person. Without a doubt the highlight of the Louvre. The Mona Lisa is, as expected, nothing special, but I highly highly recommend going to see it as the walk there is packed with gorgeous biblical art, and the room it’s in is also filled with this.

This is without a doubt the best museum I've ever been to. I can't express how amazing it is. Stunning!Starting from the outside - the building itself is a sight to see. It is totally understandable why it used to be an imperial palace. Great location for beautiful pictures of Paris. The molding and the statues on the building are impressive.Moving on to the inside - the building is just as impressive. The ceilings are a work of art itself. The corridors are very spacious and nice to walk through.Walls and walls of art, literally every style and time period you can imagine. Statues, gold, plates, rugs, mantles, paintings, Crown Jewels and many more. The only downside of the Louvre is that it is GIANT, so please plan your trip ahead! Otherwise you won't see everything you'd like to see because you will run out of time.We did not see the Mona Lisa, it was too crowded. But I was not sad about that, other works of art were even more impressive than the Mona Lisa.

A exquisite museum like no other. Louvre is an extremely beautiful museum, I would say that the museum is art in itself in the way that Louvre alone is so beautiful, along with the interior of the museum. Louvre is huge, like you could get lost in there, and just would therefore highly recommend buying tickets early and securing a ticket for when the museum opens because you could literally spend a whole day in the Louvre. Louvre has amazing art from all over the world, and from all time periods. Louvre is a must visit when in Paris. Tickets are also affordable.PS: If you are going to the Louvre for Mona Lisa I recommend getting there early and heading straight to her, or else there will be a long line to get a picture of her.

This is a great experience to see different types of cultural arifact in one place. The process to enter was smooth. The items on view are separated by its origins in different sections of the museum. The place can be very crowded especially the room that houses the Mona Lisa. You will still get to see what you want to. For the price, the overall experience is awesome.

It’s the most worthwhile museum to visit in Paris, open until 9 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays. You can’t pay directly on the official website, so tickets have to be bought through online agents, and if you try to book a week in advance, only entry slots after 12 p.m. are available. Visiting for eight hours means covering over ten kilometers on foot, but it’s absolutely worth it—this museum has the richest collection of art in the world!

The museum was quite large, and I especially enjoyed seeing the famous Monalisa photo. However, I was disappointed with the outdoor customer service. The staff seemed to be inattentive and didn't greet visitors who had purchased tickets with courtesy. Their behavior made me feel unwelcome, and it detracted from the overall experience.

This is the best museum in the whole world 🌍 with great collections of masterpieces from around the globe. Definitely worth a visit at least once in a lifetime. I spent almost 9 hours there and it wasn't enough to see every gallery. The only annoying thing was that they don't clean the toilets appropriately, hence the smell of urine was noticeable near some exhibits.

It is worth going to see and I highly recommend for everyone; plus if you're under 26 and live in a country that is a member of the European Union you get in free!!

My visit to the Louvre Museum in Paris was very nice. The museum itself is a masterpiece, both in terms of its architecture and the vast collection of art. The entry might take time due to long line so better book your tickets online. One of the most memorable moments was finally seeing the Mona Lisa. The painting’s aura was next level. Surrounded by crowds, it still managed to stand out as a symbol of artistic brilliance. Watching it up close, I could appreciate the mysterious expression and delicate brushstrokes that have intrigued art lovers for centuries.Another highlight of my visit was the stunning collection of royal ornaments. The intricate craftsmanship of the crowns, scepters, and jewels was dazzling. The Louvre’s collection is vast, and it’s impossible to see everything in one visit. However, my experience was unforgettable, filled with iconic art, rich history, and a deep appreciation for the masterpieces housed there. For anyone visiting Paris, the Louvre is an absolute must-see!

Av. des Champs-Élysées is a renowned avenue in Paris, known for its iconic landmarks like the Louvre and Arc de Triomphe, as well as upscale shops and restaurants. It's considered one of Europe's most famous promenades, featuring gardens and luxury boutiques from Place de la Concorde to Place Charles De Gaulle. Despite the closure of historic hotels along the avenue, it remains a symbol of Parisian elegance with its stylish buildings.
Nice street with lots of shopping options. Lots of famous brands around the area. Also many landmarks within walking distance.

Nothing special, just a street with shops. It’s nice to see but there are so many streets with shops that are more interesting and pleasant than this one. Also the cafe’s and restaurants are overpriced and overrated.

Natuurlijk moet je hier ook zijn geweest, maar ga niet met 30 graden de hele straat doorlopen dat is veel te warm. Ook is het drinken bij de terrasjes heel duur ga daarvoor naar de achterliggende straten.(Translated by Google)Of course you should have been here too, but don't walk through the entire street when it's 30 degrees, it's way too hot. Drinking at the terraces is also very expensive, so go to the streets behind it.

Avenue des Champs-Elysées, nicknamed "most beautiful avenue in the whole world". There are many luxury boutiques (Louis Vuitton, Tiffany, Cartier, Guerin, Montblanc …), places of entertainment (Lido, cinemas), famous cafes and restaurants (Fouquet's). It stands on 1.9 km between Place de la Concorde and the Arc de Triomphe. For New Yorkers- its 5th Avenue of New York with plenty of space to hang out and instead of central park, it's Arc de TriompheThe Champs-Elysées is divided into two parts with the Ronda-Point des Champs-Elysées as its intersection. The lower part of the Champs-Elysées, bordering the Place du Concorde, includes a spacious park, the Jardine des Champs-Élysées, and the Petit Palais fine arts museum. The upper part, extending to the Arc de Triomphe, is lined by luxury shops, hotels, restaurants, cafés, cinemas, and theaters. This bustling area draws many tourists and is a gathering place for Parisians.I would suggest walking to the Arc de Triomphe from Louvre, in this way you can cover and enjoy this street and get a good view of Arc de too. Of course, beware of pickpockets.

Can you imagine visiting Paris and not taking a walking tour of the Champs-Élysées? This is most likely impossible ..!!This street is considered one of the most lively and beautiful streets, as it is characterized by picturesque buildings, charming lights, and high-end boutiques of luxury and other well-known brands that attract any visitor, and it ends at the Arc de Triomphe monument, which is one of the most important tourist attractions in Paris.Although the street is quite long, you will not feel tired or bored, as everything around you will encourage you to enjoy the amazing atmosphere and energize you to continue your activity. And of course, the other beautiful thing about this street is the presence of wonderful restaurants and cafes spread out on both sides of it, which you can visit and enjoy a unique food or drink experience. The metro station is located in the heart of the street, making it very easy to come and go from and to anywhere else.

Monument
Sights & Landmarks
The Arc de Triomphe is a landmark of Paris, built to commemorate Napoleon's victories. The arch is 164 feet high, and features an observation deck. It is one of the most popular monuments in Paris after the Eiffel Tower.
A must visit historical site in Paris in Eiffel Tower district. We walked through the underground tunnel to the ticket window, hardly waited 5 minutes in the line before we got ours. They check your bags and you walk through a scanner. Beware there are quite a few stairs to climb, approximately 284 steps to the first floor on a spiral staircase and then there are more steps to reach the other two floors including the terrace. There's also an elevator to the main floor. From the top one can see the beautiful city. There's a beautiful souvenir shop also where you'll find things, at good prices, stationary is beautiful and I did not find such pretty notebooks anywhere else. Washrooms on the same floor. Once down, there's the tomb of the unknown soldier. Overall great experience!
Amber H — Google review
Easy to access by the subway. The lineup wasn't too long and the staff were very helpful with wayfinding. The stairs were a bit of a climb but they were so worth the magnificent view of Paris! Most of the landmarks were visible and during the sunset, it was a beautiful view.
Aidan L — Google review
It is historical and one of the most important monuments of France. You can go to base of this structure for free. In case you want to go to the top floor, you will have to buy tickets. In case you have been to top of Eiffel tower, you can skip top of this monument. There are underpass on both sides of the round about to reach this monument. So, use underpass and don't try to cross the road in the traffic!
Alok A — Google review
A must. You go underground on the escalator to get there. Don’t cross the busy street! You join a queue and pay a small fee to go up the tower to the viewing platform. Take note of the stairs. You do wait a while to buy tickets. You can get a beautiful view of Paris and the Eiffel Tower. It’s stunning! We went mid afternoon - I think early morning might be better.
Hannah M — Google review
I was there on a French holiday so the lines were long. Buying tickets in advance was nice to avoid two lines. The rooftop access has wonderful view of the entire city. Be prepared for a lot of stairs.
Robert F — Google review
An excellent sightseeing stop. It is free to visit but it seems most people are confused on how to get there. It is in the middle of a huge roundabout and people will stand in-between streets, only see it from afar or try to run across the roundabout which is extremely dangerous. You need to find the stairs going downtown the underground tunnel leading across the street. Please be safe.

This is a must when visiting Paris. The history of the Arc is a basic for those that took French in High school. The details on the arc are so amazing. It is bigger than I expected and so much more. We visited during the Olympics so it was busy, but it was earlier in the morning so it wasn't too bad. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back when we are in the area!
Teresa B — Google review
Do NOT try to take pictures from the middle of the road. You can take good pictures from the barricades at the sidewalk close to the road. It's a grand arch & very impressive! The steps are steep & a bit of a workout to climb up but the view from the top is awesome! You have a great view over the city center and a good view of the Eiffel tower. Have your camera ready! ☺️
S. D — Google review
The climb to the top was very physically demanding. But the view from the top is beautiful! We even saw a ceremony for the unknown soldier when we came back down. Definitely worth a visit, especially in the evening when the whole city lights up! Recommend to purchase a museum pass or book tickets beforehand rather than buying a ticket there.

Arc de Triumph is one of the places one must see when in Paris. This monument is simply majestic. The history behind it is so rich and breathing. We visited on a sunny Friday morning, as we wanted to beat the busy times, which usually start at around noon.We did bot reserve but instead got tickets directly at the desk after a short wait. Once you enter, you get to clime a spiral staircase, which leads to the 1st floor where all the history information is displayed and as well as interactive screens, shops and lavatories, etc. You also ge a breather as these stairs are steep.Once you reach the top, you one will be Wowed. If you get nice weather, you see Paris differently. This is done to the positioning of the monument. One has the feeling that you are on the centre as all 11 avenues lead to it.On each corner of the arch, there is an interactive map that shows you all the landmarks that you can see in the distance.Watching the public, traffic, and city life from the top one feel mighty and glorious. Great experience
Sabbi A — Google review
This might be my favorite monument in Paris. You have a 360 view from the center of the city. The walk from here in any direction is beautiful. Be prepared to only bring small bags with you. I would recommend doing this early in the day because our legs were tired after the tight spiral staircase all the way up and back down.
Stephanie C — Google review
A beautiful landmark in Paris. Can't miss it. The place has attracted a large crowd. Some even stay in the middle of the road divider to get a best shot of the monument. There are tunnel entrance and exit that bypasses traffic to take visitors to the monument for a closeup. At night the monument is illuminated and less crowd.
Qlv A — Google review
A nice memorial with beautiful views from the very top! We only waited about 40 minutes total, through 2 different lines (one to buy tickets and the other to get through security) to get to the elevator. For those not capable of walking up the 284 steps to the level where there’s a shop and then access to the roof, there is an elevator. But once you get to this level on the elevator, you’ll still have about 40 more steps to get to the roof. It’s great to walk around and see the different sites around Paris.
F'burg F — Google review
The Arc and the symbol of this is a glorious site to see. The people however are not. Everything you hear about the rudeness of the French is about all true. It’s not all of the French people but a very good majority. The beauty of this country almost outweighs that one glaring fact. I digress. There are 296 steps to the top or you can take an elevator , but be aware the elevator is small and the line can get long. Once to the top the views are spectacular. If you come here be careful of thieves and robbers especially on the Metro. Head on a swivel watch your 6

Very nice experience! Enjoyed taking photos and reading the historical information around the arc. I recommend taking the subway and walking to get there. Parking is awful, enjoy the walk and experience the beauty that Paris has to offer. Wear comfortable shoes tho. 👌🏽

Amazing views! Full 360 of the city. Definitely worth a trip to the top and not very expensive. We paid 32 euro for a family of three, so one of the cheaper attractions. We booked in advance and avoided a huge line. Really impressed with the interior, really wasn't what we expected inside to look like. Definitely a must when visiting Paris.
Jonathan O — Google review
A must-visit if you are in Paris! You don't need to go through security to get to the outside area and you can still get a good look at the monument. If you want to go into the inner area, you have to wait in line and go through security. This is a central point in Paris with many roads stretching in all directions away from it. And from on top, you can look out over the city! Highly recommend checking it out. You can feel all the history.
Jared B — Google review
A lot of steps + 13 euro ticket but it's worth it to go up! The line looks longer than it is, just 20 minutes to get through initial security and then you walk another 5-10. Great way to appreciate Paris with twelve major roads starring out in each direction, fantastic view of Tower and other attractions. Go just before sunset for cool photos and memorable views.
Justin B — Google review
Wow! It was so much bigger and more awesome than I had imagined. I never knew that you could go to the top. You take a tunnel from the outside edge of the traffic circle and pop up right at the base. The climb up the stairs was strenuous, even though I'm fairly in shape. I was there at sunset & there were a lot of people, mostly trying to catch the Eiffel Tower light show, but they didn't know that the Arc closed before the Eiffel Tower looked really cool. The view over Paris was absolutely spectacular, with the roads all radiating out from that point. It's an experience not to be missed.
Heather W — Google review
Been to see it physically before, which of course is breathtaking. However I decided to go up this time and it was worth every penny! Fantastic views of Paris in any direction you look. Well worth it - especially when you compare the entry admission to the Eiffel Tower which has seemingly become a rip off

A remarkable monument, it's so impressive to see something built over two hundred years ago that has sure gravitas and sheer beauty. The flame for the unknown soldier it a touching reminder of all the young men that died in the great wars.

Such an amazing Arc! There is a long queue to wait to go to the upper floor, I didn't go up but it's nice to be around. You must use underpasses to reach it. You can use the stairs right next to the ticket office.
Rabia K — Google review
There is little more to add from previous reviews as the Arc really speaks for itself. Imposing, like the hub of a wheel, the structure draws you in and propels you into the special place that is France. Glorifying the days of world domination, it stands as a monument to the past. Still attracting millions of tourists from around the world, the Arc is one of the most recognisable sites on the planet. Great close up views from all the Hop on Hop off tour buses.
Mike D — Google review
Beautiful architecture and history. Definitely a must see when in Paris. I love how they built a passage under the road to get to the center and other side so that you do not have to cross the very busy roundabout. Makes it very easy to access.
Kristen M — Google review
Very nice place to visit. There was a line of people standing in the middle of the divided highway taking pictures, and it was hilarious to watch the cancerous "influencer" type culture. The structure itself looks bigger in real life than in pictures. There are two ways to get there through underground tunnels.
Bas B — Google review
The history of the monument is very well known, and the details of art is very much intriguing. The arc is much bigger than I assumed from movies, and has different views from all sides. We visited in the morning on weekday, still place was a bit crowded, not much though
Ritesh A — Google review
This is an amazing monument in the centre of Paris city.I went here on a weekday early in the morning like 7:30 AM. There were guards but they didn’t ask me for any ticket. There is no need for a ticket to go to this monument but if you wish to go to the top of this monument you need a ticket. I am sure that you can buy this online but there is a possibility to buy a tickets onsite but queue to be expected. This has so much story to tell. I suggest take a guided tour.Commute, it is well connected to an underground metro line so worries there. To go to this place on the other hand is tricky. You might have to take a tunnel and climb a few steps down and a few steps back up again. No parking and no wheel chair access, loads of fancy designer shops nearby

We had a wonderful visit here last week. It started on a rough note as there was a strike with workers in the museums. My timed entry and tickets were not honored. But we were soon inside and here I’ll mention that I went to reception and requested a refund on my tickets and I received that today. The display of Monet’s Water Lilies is simply extraordinary. The art will take your breath away and the large oval-shaped display rooms are perfect for this art. I enjoyed the visit immensely.

An incredible museum that houses many outstand works by Picasso and other masterpieces. The main attraction is two large oval shaped room that present Claude Monet's Water Lilies as he wanted them presented. The flow and layout of the displays are outstanding. Easy to follow maps and directions because the building is just about perfect in size and the audio guides were very informative.

As for me, impressionism lover, it’s a no 1 place to visit in Paris. Amazing display of the greatest works of arts in the world. Beautiful museum this was on my “must see” list when visiting Paris and was definitely a highlight.I went on a Friday around 11am and there was no wait time for me! I didn’t even book tickets in advanced as I thought Europeans under 25s go free, however as the UK is no longer in the EU this is not the case for British people (so bear this in mind) but I was able to buy a ticket at the desk. They also have a great gift shop at the museum, If you love Monet’s work I 100% recommend!

One beautiful museum and an absolute must see in Paris. Although it’s smaller than other well known museums in Paris, there is a lot to see and a lot to admire in the museum. They have a very wide and beautiful collection of paintings from many different iconic painters like Monet, Laurencin, Matisse or Derain.I had an incredible time visiting this museum, I found myself admiring all the paintings and work of arts there. The Musée de l'Orangerie in Paris is a must-visit for art enthusiasts. It is located in the Tuileries Gardens and houses an impressive collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masterpieces. The museum's highlight is the Water Lilies murals by Claude Monet, displayed in specially designed oval-shaped rooms. The museum showcases a stunning collection of artwork by celebrated artists including Renoir, Cézanne, and Picasso. However, the museum's popularity has led to overcrowding and challenges in maintaining the peaceful atmosphere it aims to provide. One downside being that it is challenging to find a quiet spot to mindfully observe the Water Lilies, which is (was) the main purpose of the (our) visit. Nevertheless, a visit to the Musée de l'Orangerie is an enriching and unforgettable experience for anyone with a love for art and culture.
Raquel B — Google review
Only came for the Water Lilies—yep, that was the only highlight for me… the rest of the exhibition was too abstract for my liking. There was a gallery of just blank canvasses… that’s “art” for you, I guess!I should also mention, the staff outside will only let people in once every 10 or so minutes. DO NOT come in the afternoon when the sun will cook you alive, as they force you to queue in the heat! Of course, they have umbrellas for shade… but only for the staff..

I would highly recommend it to people who love art and enjoy looking at paintings for a long time... Overall, great experience
Nabeel A — Google review
Impressive "gigantic" works of Monet are displayed in a building adopped just for those works! While it was amazing to see this extraordinary body of work by Monet, it was somewhat difficult to contemplate upon and enjoy the paintings because of the following factors. One is that the paintings are so big that the whole picture could not be grasped without the reflections from the illuminating light and (2) very high number of the visitors created some chaotic environment and atmosphere, contrasting with the calm and peaceful themes and intent of the paintings. Improvements in these regards would, I think, make visitors (and perhaps Monet himself) happier as the intent of displaying is for people to appreciate the artist and the paintings. Hopefully, such improvements can be made while balancing the financial considerations from Museum's perspectives.

This is a must see if visiting Paris. What is very unassuming from the outside, is an amazing world of stain glass on the inside. The large open cathedral tells the entire Bible in stain glass. It was cereal to stand in the middle of the room and see such intricate and detailed stain glass work completely surrounding you. Clearly a hidden gem of Paris. Book ahead to ensure there is availability.

Was in France with one of my French friends who mentioned this place and so glad he did. It was a very cool find to drop by and see. It’s not super big, doesn’t take a long time to see but I would say it’s def worth it if you have more time in Paris or you’ve seen all the other big attractions.

Very beautiful but very noisy, silence should be required according to everything in a small building and even a bedroom.Overall a nice visit even if there was a very large crowd and noiseThere are two spaces to see, the most beautiful of course being the one at the top which has wonderful stained glass windows and is truly exceptional.Fairly quick visit, I advise you to buy your tickets online as you will save a little time.

It's really a beautiful place! It is difficult not to be inspired by the painstaking attention to detail to create this cathedral! Truly master craftsman. Awe, inspiring! If tethered is a line make.sure you check the signs for the correct line. One if your tour starts on the hour one line on the half hour and one to purchase your tickets. Also, if the official site does not have tickets, check third-party vendors sites.

What a divine place. The 15 stain glass windows featuring 1153 different events and with 70% of the glasses are still original are still dated from 1500s. If you have the opportunity to book the tickets for the concerts there, it is a must and the acoustics are fabulous with the high ceilings. 👍

While the church is beautiful, they could do a much better job with crowd management. As you can see when we showed up it was impossible to tell which line was for which type of entrance. For a weekday during shoulder season, the line moved much slower than expected too. I’d recommend getting tickets in advance.

Wow, it was an amazing experience! I loved it. When you go inside, it's a different feeling altogether. You have to look at each line from the bottom up, as each line has a separate story to tell. You also have to go to the upper level to see the stunning glass walls. And the best part? Entry is free with the Paris Museum Pass. Be sure to keep it with you wherever you go in Paris, it comes in handy!

Tickets only available online. Shortworded to describe this place, despite is a short visit (30min) completely worth it. Something to improve, queue is somewhat unorganized and confusive, so ask people in line. Inside take a map at the entrace of the chapel and walk from left to right to understand the deep meaning on the stained glasses

I don't remember hearing about this chapel before my visit but was very glad I went. It is stunning inside. My only complaint would be I did not see an elevator. The stairs are very old stone stairs. They go around up the tower. They are not even so it's easy to trip and there are a lot. If you are unable to do stairs you would not be able to see the upstairs stained glass. I would also use the bathroom before you go. Watch where you walk as the stones in the grounds are uneven, but it is worth it.

This was such an amazing experience! Those under 18 got in free and skipped the line, although everyone went through security. It was absolutely magnificent and definitely a must-see when visiting Paris!
Will B — Google review
You'll need to make reservations for your visit before visiting. Even one week in advance seems to be sufficient. So check against your itinerary and weather.Visiting it was worthwhile albeit slightly underwhelming to be honest. Perhaps my expectations was too high? Perhaps I was expecting a more educational visit?
Jie T — Google review
Make sure you get timed tickets and find the right line. Not very organized. There are seperate lines for tickets on the hor and half hour. Full airport security with the 360 scanner.Once inside the chapel is incredible. Try to go on a sunny day to get the full effect of the stained glass. It's hard to decide where to look. The rose window was so intricate and beautiful. Well worth the small confusion to get inside

Visiting Sainte-Chapelle in Paris was an absolutely stunning experience that left me in awe of its beauty and historical significance. This Gothic gem, built between 1242 and 1248 under the reign of King Louis IX, was originally commissioned to house precious relics, including the Crown of Thorns. Its architectural design is a testament to the brilliance of the medieval period, showcasing an intricate blend of spirituality and artistry. The highlight of Sainte-Chapelle is undoubtedly its breathtaking stained glass windows, considered some of the finest in the world. There are 15 large windows that rise dramatically to about 15 meters high, depicting over 1,000 scenes from the Old and New Testaments. The vibrant colors and intricate details of these windows create a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of light, transforming the interior into a divine sanctuary. Each panel tells a story, making it not just a visual feast but also a rich narrative of Christian history that has captivated visitors for centuries. While the beauty of Sainte-Chapelle is undeniable, my experience was somewhat marred by the presence of security personnel. Although I appreciated the safety measures in place, the guards were quite pushy and not particularly welcoming. It felt as though their approach could use a bit more sensitivity, especially considering that this is a place of worship. A little respect for the sacredness of the space would have enhanced the overall atmosphere.Despite this minor setback, I left Sainte-Chapelle feeling uplifted and inspired by its artistic and historical significance. The combination of stunning stained glass and rich history makes it a must-visit destination in Paris. If you're planning a visit, prepare to be amazed by the artistry and grandeur, but also be mindful of the security presence, which might be a bit overwhelming. Overall, Sainte-Chapelle is a beautiful testament to the devotion and creativity of its time, and it remains a cherished jewel of Parisian heritage.

This place is stunning. It's very understated from the outside but once you climb the winding stairs from the gift shop, it takes your breath away. There are large placards you can pickup at the chapel entrance with information about uts history and the stained glass.

We bought tickets in advance and still waited for an hour plus just to get in. Our reservation time was 1:30, we didn't get in till after 2:30. There are 3 lines for the queue in place. The markers are 20 feet from the check-in, and security is another 10-20 feet from there, so you need to be in the middle aisle if you're at the half pass reservation. Queue on the right aisle is for the 0 hour reservation. Queue on the left is if you don't have tickets. So getting in took a while, and once you're in, there is a bag and body check, like the airport - they check everything, including bags, camera, and phone. After you enter, you can buy your tickets or scan your pre-purchased tickets. As you go into the 1st floor of the chapel, which is also the souvenir shop, you can spend about 5-10 minutes there. Go up the spiral staircase on the right when you face the entrance. Cautiously go up the tight and narrow spiral stairs to the 2nd floor, and that's where the stained glass and the beautiful ceiling are located. There's a walk out to the balcony, which oversees the grounds. You exit on the left side of the balcony, looking out at the balcony. Again, caution going down the spiral staircase. Waiting for an hour to have a 30-minute visit is not a great cost-benefit trade-off, but it's our first time to visit, and you need to bring your patience and manage your expectations. If you get the audio, you may be longer. For me, it was worth the wait. 3 star because of the lack of logistics managing ticket sales (I believe they oversell and is probably the cause of the delay).

It’s a beautiful place to tour while in Paris. The books of the Bible beautifully glisten down at you while the sun shines on the colored glass. You have to go see for yourself. I used the Paris Museum Pass for entry highly recommend you reserve your tickets prior. No entry even with the pass.

This Catholic church, which is also known as the second most popular attraction in Paris, Was built in 1248 by Louis IX on Cite Island. When you enter this church, you will realize the peak of Gothic art and architecture. The most spectacular part of the church is the very tall and colorful windows that dazzle the eyes under the sunlight. I suggest you to visit there and enjoy both the peace and its beauty.

Simply stunning. The stained glass scenes were impressive. They “tell the story of mankind from the creation, to Christ’s resurrection”. We really enjoyed this experience, definitely a highlight of the trip.

Cathedral
Sights & Landmarks
Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, a towering 12th-century Gothic cathedral adorned with flying buttresses and gargoyles, has been an iconic symbol of Parisian religion and architecture for centuries. The cathedral's intricate details took over a century to complete, making it a masterpiece of Gothic design. However, a devastating fire in April 2019 caused significant damage to the structure, including the destruction of its spire and roof.
This famous cathedral is simply impressive, even if it is half covered by scaffolding and is closed to the public. We enjoyed walking around the outside and reading all the informative signs. Amazing to think how old it is and that construction took 400 years! It is great to see it being restored and will be very interesting to tour once it is completed.
Kevin H — Google review
Wonderful cathedral with a rich history that is under renovation and rejuvenation now because of a massive fire that broke out in 2019. I went anyway because I wanted to take a look at it now, but happy to know that it will be reopened December 2024. Look out for the lovely music from street buskers, little shops along the cathedral and a photographer who takes photos of you and prints it into a newspaper-like feature that's a lovely souvenir. You pay as you like, and can don't pay too, but I paid €5 and got 3-4 shots. Lovely around Notre Dame!
Nicole Y — Google review
We got to see it the year before the fire. It was breathtaking and humbling. It is gorgeous and filled with knowledge and history. Ths inside is much bigger than I expected, and it's just amazing to experience the history of the building.

A Timeless Beauty, Even During RenovationThe Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris remains one of the most enchanting and impressive landmarks, even though it is currently closed for renovations following the fire in 2019. The cathedral’s stunning Gothic architecture and intricate details continue to captivate visitors from the outside, making it a worthwhile sight to behold.Visiting this iconic site allows you to feel the history and charm of Paris. While entry to the interior is not possible, tourists can still enjoy the views and take photos from the surrounding areas, which remain vibrant and lively, reflecting the enduring spirit of this historic landmark.
Ming A — Google review
A historically significant building. However, there are much more aesthetic historical buildings in France. Since there were renovations when I went, I couldn't examine it much. If you have been to Paris, it would of course be nice to visit this place too.

The Notre Dame is closed due to the 2019 fire but it is good for pictures outside.Come to the front of the cathedral and one can capture the whole architecture with x0.5 setting on the camera.Check out the king statues of kings on the facade; the fifth one from the left is the architect himself :)

Visited while the reconstruction of the Notre Dame was still ongoing. Seeing it being reconstructed after the fire was incredible and the boards they have erected around the road side of the Cathedral was very interesting to read and see the progress so far. The spire reconstruction including the wood and craftsmanship used was good to see. I can’t wait to come back when it’s all done and open again.

A magnificent gothic cathedral and one of my favourites worldwide. It was built in the middle ages between the years of 1163 and 1345.I was heartbroken when I heard about the fire and the destruction of huge parts of the cathedral.I am very glad I was able to visit it several times before the accident happened. There was also the possibility to walk up the staircase to get to the upper areas where the Gargoyle statues are located (I think you had to pay 8€ to get access to it). It was several hundred steps and a very narrow staircase but it was so absolutely worth it. You were also able to see the bells. The biggest one had a diameter of several metres which was impressive! It's wonderful that they are working on rebuilding the destroyed parts but it's not clear when it will open again. When we visited Paris in January '24 it was still closed but it's breathtaking to just look at the outside of the building and the beautiful Catherine window (the big round window on the front part). I loved it ever since I watched the Disney movie The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

This is such a beautiful Cathedral, but it still under reconstruction after the fire. This is one of the most iconic monuments in France and it will be re-opening on 2025We just have the opportunity to see it from the bleachers and walk around, but we will define you come back after the construction is done 🙏
Antonio C — Google review
Revisit this again, after the fire. Even though we cannot get inside, there are still lots of people in the plaza, admiring the Cathedrale from outside. There are also lots of information board addressing the reconstruction plans, pointing out interesting features, and so on. Still an interesting stop in my short revisit of the city.
Sylvia L — Google review
Even shut down this is one of the coolest things to see in Paris. They have the whole thing blocked off with high walls so you can’t see anything at ground level. A lot of the mid level structure is also obscured by construction platforms but the walls are covered with stories and technical information about the fire and the rebuilding process including the people involved, planning etc. it’s very interesting if you’re into that sort of thing but even if you’re not, the super structure is such an imposing and dramatic piece of work that it will still leave an impression on you.
Darian N — Google review
I visited while the reconstruction was still going on. The building itself is a masterpiece of architecture. The Gothic style just adds to the overall feeling of awe you get when you stand in front of it. Definitely worth to see.

When I visited Notre-Dame, it was closed due to the fire, so I couldn't see much. However, the sight of the cathedral, even from the outside, evoked a sense of awe and reverence. It's a beautiful building.
Highway V — Google review
Even though the Cathedral was closed, due to the work of restoration, still there are different displays all around the church that show you the inside as well as detailing the different works necessary to bring the cathedral to its original glory. The Cathedral looks really beautiful also from the outside and even though it is temporarily closed still there are a lot of people who visit it, just to get a glimpse of it.
Febe M — Google review
It was in my bucket list but due to fire incident could not get the chance to visit this magnificent cathedral and history associated with it. It is near the Latin Quarter. It is one of the most famous churches in the world with two huge towers and mighty flying buttresses and for a long time the main symbol of Paris, before the Eiffel Tower was built. An island in the Seine River, it is the historical and geographical center of Paris. The Notre-Dame Cathedral was founded in 1163 by King Louis IX (Saint Louis), and the construction took more than 150 years.Cathedral is temporarily closed for at least 5-6 years. I took a couple of photos of this historic church and roamed along Seine River. I reached here at sunrise time, it was looking stunning.Fact: Among other things, it was the location of Napoleon Bonaparte’s coronation in 1804 and its painting is in the Louvre Museum.

Visiting during the restoration is an interesting experience. Although it’s not possible to enter, the atmosphere around still feels magical and impressive. The cathedral remains beautiful in its own way. Walking around the area allows you to appreciate the history and grandeur of the Gothic architecture. Seeing the restoration work from the outside is also exciting, as it showcases the effort to revive this great cultural heritage.
TOngz N — Google review
While it was closed at the time due to the reconstruction work it's still an impressive site. At present there are various displays on the surrounding fences detailing the history and work taking place to restore the Cathedral to its former magnificence. To one side there is a large stepped platform where you can climb up to take a photo or simply sit and enjoy the view.
Andy T — Google review
The reason I gave 5 stars is because you can buy tickets to get to the higher levels of the cathedral. The Cathedral is magnificent like all the others, but the surrounding city is charming with ample parking and restrooms.

The gate person was a classical idiot. Perhaps he was related to the hunchback?? We had a drink and there was a garbage can near the entrance. So we were finished before we got to the entrance. We tried to throw our drinks in the garbage before entering but he wouldn’t let us. Made us get out of line and wouldn’t let us in. What a jackallope. I only wish that dumb— could read this review. We waited for a new gate guard and had no problem getting in. If there was a charge to get in I would say save the money but it was free. There was huge cool clock but you need to go in on the hour. We waited a long time. The quarter hour has a small display but you have to be ready.

Visited here at the weekend. And whilst it is still closed there's a lot of information via the app and on the wall graphics. It's great to see the new spire and I believe that a free exhibition is opening soon to explain a lot more about the restoration work after the fire.

When I approached the cathedral, I couldn't help but be amazed by its stunning presence. It is, without a doubt, a testament to the effort and will of the people to create symbols, which last for centuries. Notre-Dame de Paris is the finest example of French gothic architecture, in my opinion. Thankfully, it will reopen to the public soon, in December 2024.

I'd have rated it higher if I was able to go inside. Currently, it's not yet open to the public due to the damage caused by the 2019 fire (it's currently September 2024 at the time of this review). It's supposedly supposed to open back up by December 08, 2024 but I'm not sure if they'll finish by then as there seems to be quite some work to be done. The architecture is beautiful.

Housed in a former railway station, Musée d'Orsay is renowned for its major 19th- and 20th-century European art collections. The museum was originally a central terminus station built for the 1900 World Fair by architect Victor Laloux. It features modern metallic structures concealed by an academic-style hotel facade made of finely cut stone.
Our most favorite museum in Paris. It's a wonderland if you are a fan of impressionist art. Admire the location of an old train station with its iconic clock aside from all the wonderful art on display from the greats including Monet, Rembrandt, Picasso, and many others. Prepare to spend half a day here if you really want to soak in the museum. Definitely buy tickets in advance for a timed slot if you do not want to spend hours just in queue, especially if you plan to visit during high season. If you are visiting only one museum in Paris make it this one.

UNDERRATED MUSEUM 🇫🇷Last time I was in Paris I chose the obvious option of visiting the Louvre. Yes it was beautiful and yes it was grand, but it was so busy I was completely overwhelmed. This museum however, is right next door and just as beautiful and vastly less busy. We came in at the first session of the day (9:30AM) and practically had the whole upstairs gallery to ourselves so we could properly view and appreciate the art.Of course by the time we made our first round, the place had filled, but still not to the capacity of the louvre.Highly recommended visiting this museum when in Paris.

I think it might have just become my favourite museum in Paris! No long, snaking, unending queues thankfully but the exhibits promise to wow and amaze just the same. You get a sense that you stepped into a very important collection of history that is well designed and easy to navigate. Ample rest places and bold pieces, it was a truly enjoyable experience for me.The Van Gogh self portrait and lots of other prominent pieces are housed here. A must see, especially for fans of Impressionists paintings. For those who are keen for a photo op, head all the way up to find the giant clock. Taking photos there especially during or close to sunset gives you lovely and brilliant silhouette photos.

The place is quite big and if you plan to thoroughly go through the museum's all floors I recommend allotting 3-4 hours. The museum itself has many interesting and popular artworks from different times, including contemporary times (exhibitions on second floor). The exhibition hall with Monet, Renoir and Van Gogh was very crowded though.
Kristaps P — Google review
Great museum, you definitely need a lot of time to go through every single piece and gallery! The Monet, Van Gogh and Renoir are definitely among the most crowded areas here, they have amazing pieces... Unfortunately the starry night was borrowed by London when I was there so I missed that one and I was looking forward to it 🤷🏻♂️Audio guides are helpful, I would definitely recommend buying tickets in advance

Fantastic museum! Incredible collection of impressionist paintings by a variety of masters. Plus many other paintings and statues. It's in an old train station that was converted into the museum. Very well designed. Very nice feel to the museum. Highly recommended.

A must see if you are a fan of Impressionism. Expect crowds, but you can still enjoy the art if you take your time. Cafe has good pastries. Buy your ticket ahead of time and go right in at your allocated time.

This is an excellent museum and, in my opinion, a must-see when in Paris. It's a more manageable size when compared to the Louvre. It's well laid out and accessible. I think we spent 3-4 hours here and saw everything else wanted to see. We bought our tickets in advance and had a minimal line. I really enjoy the Impressionists and was very satisfied when I left. I recommend this museum and I will definitely come back again.
Nicole P — Google review
Really quite impressive museum, a little bit crowded for my liking. We came on a wet afternoon in Paris and were blown away by the amazing use of space, I had not done my research to realise this used to be a station and what a clever use of space it was. The crowds moved quite freely so we are able to see a lot of priceless art. My only criticism is that they started closing galleries half an hour before closing which made the afternoon feel a bit rushed.
Mark V — Google review
Loved this museum for impressionists. Much better than three Louvre if that's your interest. Was thrilled to see so many iconic works in one place. Alfred Sisley is my new favorite impressionist artist for his consistent quality. So glad we went.

Must see museum that you want to schedule your entire day there. Massive amount of masterpieces of works that you have seen in textbooks, magazines and other media. The museum is divided into five sections and are easy to find what you want to see and experience. The best of all is section five by taking the front or back escalators to the top and be ready to be amazed. It is a must see places. The self portrait of Vincent van Gogh was the highlight of our visit.

A very beautiful museum and it has an amazing shop with a great collection of souvenirs if you want to get one . It’s very easy to navigate things as they have a list of rooms and it is all on a map. The view when you walk into the museum is beautiful. I would recommend going here. My only issue is that I wish there was some seats in some of the bigger display rooms as it can be a little tiring walking around all the time especially if you are doing other stuff in paris on the same day ! There is also a great view of the balloon that they lit up for the Olympics in it
Helen H — Google review
I am inclined to prefer this place over the Louvre, its still a very large space but on multiple floors in a single central location so to navigate is not an issue. We had no queue to get in either with our pre paid tickets. So many things to see here, you could spend half a day or more if you took the time to appreciate the setting and the various paintings/sculptures that is here. Also a few opportunities to get some pictures of the outside. Oh and there will be a large queue to get a picture by the clock, personally I don't see the appeal a picture Infront of the clock, especially with a phone as its likely the background will be over exposed or the other way around, but a more interesting picture is getting one from the sides or behind people as it gives a better sense of the scale of the various clocks here.

Definitely a must see. Get your timed tickets in advance though, the line can be pretty long. A wonderful selection of a variety of artists, the building itself is a beautiful set piece and definitely a recommendation. Arrive before hand to explore the avenues around it because there's a lot to see.

We visited the Musée d'Orsay in the last week of August 2024 and had a great experience overall. However, one tip for other visitors: avoid purchasing "skip the line" tickets from third-party sellers, especially if you're planning to visit on a weekday morning. The crowds were lite during our visit, and the line for on-site tickets was minimal, so the extra cost for those tickets wasn't worth it in our case. The crowds may vary seasonally, but this is something to keep in mind if you're visiting during a quieter time.As for the museum itself, it's very well organized. It’s also quite kid-friendly, with elevators available throughout the building, making it accessible for strollers and wheelchairs alike. There's a large cafeteria inside too which we haven't tried but seemed reasonable priced based on a quick glance on the menu. While the museum is much smaller compared to the Louvre, you can comfortably explore it in 2 to 3 hours. We started at the top on the 5th floor, where the oldest paintings from the mid to late 1800s—particularly the Impressionist paintings —are housed. As you work your way down, you move through post-Impressionist works, which often depict older historical events but were painted later.Overall, it was a lovely couple of hours spent surrounded by incredible art in a more intimate and less overwhelming setting than the other larger museums around there

The Orsay Museum in Paris is a treasure trove of art, boasting an extensive collection that is truly impressive. The variety of pieces on display, from famous Impressionist works to lesser-known gems, makes it a must-visit for art lovers. The museum itself is housed in a beautifully converted Beaux-Arts railway station, adding to the overall experience. For the price, which is currently quite reasonable, the value you get is exceptional. Whether you're an art enthusiast or just looking to explore some of Paris's rich culture, the Orsay Museum is definitely worth the visit.

In my opinion, this is the concept of what a perfect museum should strive to be. Everything was very accessible and easy to follow. The museum followed a chronological experience and took you on a voyage of 70 years of the most important works in art history between 1850 and 1920. The museum’s layout and amenities were perfect and my visit couldn’t have gone better. World class museum that every Paris-goer should plan a morning or afternoon visiting. 5/5

One of the best museum experiences I‘ve ever had. You can spend so much time here and every part of it is interesting. I got in around 3pm and stayed there until it was closed. First thought going there was to see Monet and Van Gogh’s paintings and to experience a big museum but ended up loving every bit of it. There were paintings with mythological figures in them which I love. It was so crowded but it be understandable because it was literally the day after the opening ceremony of the Olympics. Can’t compare it with Louvre though because I couldn’t go 😅 ALSO if you’re from EU countries between the age of 18-26 you can go for free but make sure to check this from their website.

Inside a beautiful old train station. Get the audio guide to bring more depth and variety to the experience as you stop a couple times in each room to listen to the stories and analysis of paintings, learning more about the artists and the history of the movements.

Musée d'Orsay holds some incredible works, some of which were ahead of their time and initially shunned by Parisian art critics. We spent just three hours here but could have easily continued exploring. I highly recommend getting a guide to help navigate the museum's layout and to provide insights into why certain masterpieces were initially overlooked by critics. As with all Parisian museums, more than a day would be needed to truly appreciate everything on display.

One of the beautiful bridges in Paris France. Stunning architecture and craftsmanship

Possibly the most photoghraphed bridge over the river Seine, linking Invalides with Grand Palais. A walk along the river bank under the span gives a brilliant view of the ironwork used in the constuction and a close up of the ornate facade.

Rodin Museum is a renowned sculpture museum in Paris, France that contains the works of the influential artist Rodin. The museum has two sites, one in central Paris and one outside of the city. Admission to the main site is free while admission to Rodins old home is payable. Highlights of the Rodin Museum include The Thinker, one of Rodins most famous sculptures and a key work in early naturalism.
We loved it! Sculpture Garden was spectacular. Van Goghs and other artists were a nice bonus. Wasn't crowded, grounds and estate were beautiful. Lovely place to take a break from the bustle and crowds of the city

My ultimate favorite museum in Paris. Must visit if you are musee and art lover especially sculptures!Auguste Rodin is the most talented artist and prominent in his decade. And he inspired so many artists as well not only in the sculpture game, but also in paintings. The museum is also very well managed and decorated, all staffs are very kindly helpful and well coordinated.Don’t forget to enjoying the flowers viewing in the exquisite jardin.

A fantastic good museum . A must visit place if you love art and sculpture. One can falow and admire the whole art Jurney of Rodin . Gardens are also very nice. Sitting and experiencing fantastic pieces at the nature is fabulous. Museum shop also have lovely pieces to take back to home. Official replicas of some pieces.

We really enjoyed the museum as we enjoy & appreciate Rodin's artwork. You could easily spend an hour here, maybe two. The gardens are nice with shaped trees and a rose garden. There are statues spread around as well as a fountain. The Gates of Hell were interesting to see in person to give you a perspective of size and depth of the work. The "smaller" pieces are inside the museum and worth seeing. There is also a cafe outside to rest and have a snack. If you are unfamiliar with Rodin but interested in sculpture, I highly recommend you visit here. If you are already familiar with Rodin, enjoy!

Fans of Rodin will love this stop. The home is full of sculptures, paintings and Rodin’s collection of artifacts. Pick a dry day to enjoy the gardens. We were there when it was raining and didn’t linger too long in the gardens. We made the rounds to see everything but I would have liked to taken it at a slower pace, but the rain kept us moving.

The Rodin Museum is a small gem. It’s filled with stunning sculptures. The museum’s beautiful and well-maintained grounds add to the experience, providing a serene and picturesque setting to admire the art. A visit here offers a perfect blend of culture and tranquility. Highly recommended for Rodin lovers.

One of the best museums I’ve been to! The Musée Rodin was an incredible experience, featuring many legendary sculptures. The house is stunning too, with beautiful flowers in the garden and memorable views that complement the sculptures. Additionally, the arrangement of the pieces inside the museum is excellent. A great aspect of this museum is that it is less susceptible to crowds, allowing you to take your time to admire the art. It’s not like Versailles, where the crowds can be overwhelming.

Really enjoyed the museum. The gates of hell from Rhodin are really impressive and also the garden has lots of flowers. Inside the museum his sculptures are also lovely to look at. I think the visit takes about 30min to 1hr.

This spectacular treasure of a museum of Auguste Rodin – is a must see in Paris, especially if are a Rodin enthusiast or an art lover. It’s easily accessible in the heart of Paris and close to several other attractions nearby. You should plan on spending at least a couple of hours here, if not longer. We had a great visit and tour, got there around noon and visited the inside two floors and outside. Do not miss to see the ‘The Thinker’ in the garden area. There is also a version of this inside.Obviously the main attractions besides the Thinker are the ‘The Kiss’, ‘The Walking man’, ‘The Cathedral’, ‘The age of bronze’ etc. But there are so many others and you will absolutely enjoy all of them. The staff were great and it was an absolute pleasure and treat to visit this wonderful museum. This museum is included in the Paris museum pass but there is no advanced reservation necessary to visit the place.

Beautiful grounds with Rodin statues throughout. Don't miss this Paris gem conveniently located near Invalides. Save your money for the gift shop here so you can purchase a version of your favorite work to take home.

It's a must for Rodin enthusiasts with plenty of sculptures and paintings, I found the museum to be informative and interesting the garden was exquisite and the outside sculptures mesmerising. The Gates of hell was imposing and ominous the thinker majestic. This museum is wheelchair accessible there are toilets and a well stocked souvenir shop. The garden is tranquil with the essence of history lingering in its grounds with every sculpture telling its own story. Full of masterpieces. Loved it.

First visit in 40 years. Amazing sculptures both inside and out. Well-presented text enables English visitors to participate. Many classic pieces. Worth the effort to find as slightly off the main tourist hotspots.
Paul T — Google review
So the gardens are BEAUTIFUL! I think that is my FAVORITE. The house doesn't seem to end but it does. It could take you about a good six hours for you to go through all of the house. You have statues mostly in the house and some paintings. The gardens you want to see on a sunny day or a cloudy day, BUT not really a rainy day! You can see most but not all if in a wheelchair.
Heather H — Google review
Interesting person was Mr. Rodin. Well laid out inside and out with very pretty gardens. We enjoyed the tour and information. However, the Cafe inside only offers a bare minimum for breakfast and not too helpful lady. And she displayed that attitude to the 4 other customers that followed. I suggest going to the Cafe on the street corner.
George L — Google review
A beautiful collection of Rodin pieces curated in a contemporary way. The work has space to be appreciated and flows seamlessly with the surrounding architecture. The gardens and cafe are also a must visit. A perfect place for a relaxing afternoon - not as overwhelming as other museums .
Magdalena B — Google review
A very talented sculptor and painter that donated his works to the government and properties so that all can view his works. In the main area they will have you wear backpacks on the front of your chest instead of back. The gardens outside also have pieces like the famous Thinker.
Eric G — Google review
I focused entirely on the outdoor sculptures and gardens. The detailed work of the pieces is hypnotizing. Especially enjoying is the historical information presented that inspired these works of art.
Robert A — Google review
A gem in Paris, this museum is at the top of our favorites list. The museum is housed in a gorgeous former hotel and provides an ideal backdrop for showcasing the works of art (which was Rodin's intent). White the museum is manageable in about an hour, save an equal amount of time for strolling the incredible grounds. We visited a few weeks before what I imagine is an explosion of color in blooms, and it was already stunning. A must!
Lizzie P — Google review
A well maintained property with a beautiful garden and indoor museum. The sculptures and plants complement each other well. It can get a bit cramped inside, especially when there's a school excursion or tour going on. Worth a visit for the garden alone.

The lush, formal gardens of Luxembourg Gardens are a popular attraction in the Saint Germain des Pres neighborhood of Paris. The garden is home to many statues and monuments on pedestals, as well as well-manicured gardens with trees in ornate patterns. The park is a delightful place to relax and take in the sights and sounds of Paris.
Peaceful relaxing gardens right on the middle of the city. Parisians and tourists can enjoy a peaceful relax in the gardens whilst children can play with sailing boats on the small lake at the bottom, even the occasional bride and groom having wedding pictures taken. No rubbish no graffiti, no noisy behaviour. A must visit for a relaxing get away from all the sights.

Magnificent place, must visit! I go there for reading, recharging or just walking through to catch those beautiful sights and peaceful atmosphere. There are couple of caffès for snacks and refreshments and a free public toilet and a water refill possibility next to it for yourself or dog.

Beautiful Garden in Paris, it is free-entrance and open to public, no reservation, just walk-in. The operating hours are varied depending on the season - generally in summer, 7am to 1 hour before sunset, in winter, 8am to 1 hour before sunset. It is a huge garden with different sections for everyone: a garden with tree, bench, statues, or open-space surrounding a pond with benches. One could sit for hours to enjoy the scenery.

Warm iced tea! And another kiosk where the member of staff was attending to the shop rather than serving. But it's a nice park and it has a Paris 2024 sign you can pose at, plus a nice fountain and a grand government building (unfortunately no sign to explain what it is or its history). You aren't allowed to get near the railings or a gendarme will tell you off. Lots of shaded parts and some benches/chairs free even on a sunny day. Statue to the war dead in it donated by locals. Also has an oak tree planted to commemorate the fallen in 9/11 in 2002 and a 2002 replica of the first Statue of Liberty 🗽 as the first model of it was made in France. The Amandino Italian ice cream shop up the road from it is very nice! And a nearby restaurant had cooling water mists for customers. Also has two sets of free public toilets and a water dispensing area (usually being used by its many runners).

Very beautiful and my 2nd visit here, however I think the gardens can have some additional beauty added and did see some random trash 🗑 unfortunatelythat I hadn't seen the 1st time. But definitely take a stroll in your lifetime.

The Luxembourg Gardens are a serene oasis in the heart of Paris, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and historical significance. This expansive park, adjacent to the Luxembourg Palace, features meticulously maintained lawns, elegant statues, and well-designed flowerbeds, making it a photographer's dream. The gardens provide various leisure activities, including boating on the central pond, playing chess, tennis, and watching puppet shows, which makes it ideal for families and individuals alike. The atmosphere here is peaceful, with plenty of quiet corners to relax or enjoy a picnic. This is the best place to go on picnics and relax on the lounge chairs.. We were lucky to have been in this garden when it was very sunny..Many people were coming in to soak in the sun..the chairs were running out..there were so many kids around the pond waving their sticks around and watching their toy boats sail away..But I would prefer a greener Luxembourg than the autumn vibe though..

Experience tranquil gardens nestled in the heart of the bustling city. Parisians and tourists alike can unwind amidst the serene atmosphere, while children delight in sailing boats on the charming lake below. I had some time to kill before leaving for the airport and decided to go this garden. Perfect weather that day, lots of children playing boats, people sunbathing, reading books, drawing, jogging, the area is huge, the gardens are beautiful, clean, and well maintained. It's free to public, I got my croissants and ate them by the fountain while people watching.

We walked around the gardens and we also sat down at the chairs to enjoy the atmosphere. We stayed until the guards and the security of the place whistled to go out. It was funny the way they did it but effective because their voices were loud and everyone could hear them. Overall a beautiful place to visit for free.

The Eiffel Tower, a controversial yet iconic structure built in 1889 for the World's Fair, is a popular tourist destination and attraction in Paris. The tower provides an orientation point for the city and is located on the Champ de Mars. It is best accessed on Line 6 or 8 of the Paris Metro. Peak hours are usually avoided to avoid overcrowding. Jules Verne, a Michelin-starred restaurant at the top of the tower, is currently closed for renovation.
The Eiffel Tower is an architectural marvel and an absolute must-visit when in Paris. As you ascend its iron lattice structure, you're treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the City of Light. From the bustling streets below to the serene Seine River weaving through the city, every angle offers a picturesque snapshot of Parisian charm. The tower itself is a testament to engineering brilliance and serves as a symbol of France's rich cultural heritage. While the queues can be long, the experience is well worth the wait.Whether you're admiring it from afar or standing atop its lofty heights, the Eiffel Tower never fails to captivate and inspire.

I visited the Eiffel Tower to watch beach volleyball during the Paris 2024 Olympics. The vibes were absolutely fantastic, filled with excitement and energy. The view from the Eiffel Tower is incredible, offering stunning panoramic sights of Paris. The combination of the sports event and the iconic location made the experience unforgettable. Love it!

I was blown away by my visit to the Eiffel Tower. I had seen pictures of it my entire life, but nothing could prepare me for the experience of actually being there! It was SO much cooler than I ever imagined beforehand. Just seeing it, a marvel of architecture and history, gave a feeling of deep appreciation and awe I can't fully describe. I climbed up the stairs to the observation platform midway up the tower. There were a LOT of stairs; it was a semi-difficult climb. But the views were so worth it. I spent over an hour looking out over Paris in all directions. There were countless things to see in 360 degrees! If you're visiting Paris, I highly recommend taking the stairs or elevator to the observation deck; you will absolutely not regret it! My experience at the Eiffel Tower was overall amazing. I felt safe while there, and the area was kept very clean. It's a wonderful and magnificent landmark!

Visiting the Eiffel Tower was an absolute highlight of our trip, and it left us in awe of its beauty and the breathtaking views it offered. We gone to top of Eiffel Tower with lift and the Ticket price was 28 EURO per person without Guide. And no visit to a world-famous attraction is complete without a bit of waiting, and we queued up for about an hour before we could step foot inside the tower. While the wait was a tad long, it was entirely worth it for the unforgettable experience that awaited us at the top. Plus, it gave us a chance to soak in the anticipation and excitement of the other visitors around us.We decided to ascend to the second floor, and the experience was nothing short of magnificent. As we reached that elevation, we were greeted with a panoramic view of Paris that truly took our breath away. It's amazing how different a city can look from such a lofty vantage point. The sweeping vistas of iconic landmarks, the winding Seine River, and the sprawling cityscape were a sight to behold. In the end, our visit to the Eiffel Tower was an absolute triumph. The memories of those astonishing views will stay with us forever, and the hour-long wait was a small price to pay for such an iconic and mesmerizing experience. If you're ever in Paris, don't miss the opportunity to ascend this legendary landmark. It's a memory you'll cherish for a lifetime.

I absolutely love the twinkling Eiffel Tower and would go back again and again just to see it at night. It's such an amazing piece of architecture. The views from the top were breathtaking. We had champagne at the top, which added to our excitement, though it was very expensive. We also took a boat cruise, and the views of the Eiffel Tower from the river were amazing. Overall, experiencing the Eiffel Tower firsthand was a highlight of my trip to Paris, capturing both the city's grandeur and its timeless charm.

I appreciated the informative displays that shared the history of this iconic landmark.Be sure to take your time exploring each level; there are plenty of spots to snap amazing photos. The ambiance, especially at sunset, is simply magical. If you’re in Paris, the Eiffel Tower is a must-visit. Just plan ahead to avoid long lines! Can't wait to return! 🗼✨

It is definitely one of the most beautiful places in the world. You can call this structure a pile of iron. But I cannot evaluate it as a pile of iron. There is a culture and history there. It has a magical atmosphere. It should definitely be seen at night. I don't think it makes much sense to go to the top floor. It is more beautiful to watch the Eiffel than to watch the view from the Eiffel.

Absolutely beautiful and breathtaking views! Highly recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time, especially if you wish to go up to the summit. You can make a line to purchase tickets the day of but it is not guaranteed you’ll get one.I purchased tickets for the early morning and it was not crowded, I was able to take my time walking the area and when we went up to the summit, it was not crowded. This iconic landmark of Paris, France, absolutely leaves a breathtaking memory, like a dream come true. The Eiffel Tower is a masterpiece! It's even more breathtaking in person than in photos. The intricate ironwork, the height, and the views are simply awe-inspiring. I took my time walking around the base, admiring the details, and then decided to take the elevator to the top. The panoramic views of Paris are stunning. It was a bit crowded with tourists from all over the world, which added to the lively atmosphere. I was traveling alone, but I had no trouble finding people to take pictures with me. Everyone was friendly and happy to help. A must-visit for any trip to the City of Lights!

It was my second time here. One of the largest tourist monuments in the world. It’s beautiful. It’s imposing. It’s exciting. One of the most amazing places I’ve visited. My last time here the tower was closed because of the snow. However, and after a lot of patience I managed to get in. Only the first and second floors were available. Still, it’s a spectacular view. The sunset is beautiful here. 🫶

Wow. I honestly didn’t realize how big of a footprint this tower has! Amazing place to visit. We were there during Para-Olympics but the crowd wasn’t that bad. Love the markings of where to take pics as well as the virtual video using your phone to transport you back to the way things used to look as well as more history. Simply amazing.

I visited the Eiffel Tower recently and it was absolutely beautiful! Incredible experience. Amazing views. A surprising quick walk up the stairs. It's not overrated but a must-see. No Paris trip is complete without this visit. We went at 10am on a Tuesday and there were no lines. There is a security checkpoint before entering and once you're in can explore the grounds beneath the tower--a great spot for photos and enjoying some shade on a hot summer day.

It goes without saying that you simply must visit the Eiffel Tower when you're in Paris. As I live in France and visit Paris quite regularly, I've seen it from a multitude of angles and still stop to look at it each time I pass by. If you choose to buy a ticket to actually visit and go up to the summit (it's worth noting that you have to buy a summit ticket to be able to go all the way to the top and not just a second level ticket - they're different prices), you'll be in for an extra treat as you'll be able to admire the entire city from a height. It's gorgeous!I definitely recommend buying tickets in advance - we didn't and it was quite a busy Sunday so we were stood in line for around 40 minutes, whilst the queue for people with tickets moved a lot faster. You'll also have to wait to be able to access the lifts to go up to both the second level and the summit (there's a fair bit of waiting to do throughout the experience due to the high volume of visitors) but, once you get there, the view is spectacular. You can also purchase extras like champagne to enhance your experience at the summit.Whilst we were there, a lady had her phone stolen so, as many others have said, definitely be aware of pickpockets - the Eiffel Tower and surrounding areas are where you'll find the most of that type of behaviour.Besides this, you'll have a great time - you can't say you've really seen Paris until you've visited the Eiffel Tower. Top tip: after 8pm, the Eiffel Tower lights up and sparkles for the first 5 minutes of each hour until 1am!

The saleswoman asks me the date to find the ticket. She asks me to go get a new product for the exchange. The product is heavy and high, so I have to move it myself. She calls her 'manager' to sign the exchange. Probably having no sense of management or commercial spirit, she told me “we’ll try to repair it” as if she worked at Decathlon. I ask him for a note in the event of a problem with the vehicle, for liability in the event of an incident. The last of a nerve, condescending, she told me 'we'll try'. Theme Parks
Winnoland is a charming family theme park located in Essonne, offering a variety of attractions aimed at younger children such as slides and merry-go-rounds. While it may not have the polished feel of larger amusement parks like Disneyland, it provides great value for families with bearable waiting times and a range of enjoyable activities for kids. The park's self-service attractions cater to children under 3 years old, making it an ideal destination for families with young kids.
Had a great day with the family, kids enjoyed every ride, not only kids but adults too and the circus TiTi was a Cherry on Cake.
Sidra M — Google review
My boy loved it (2.5y) but it was very dated and nothing looked like it had been cleaned in 20 years. A lot of the rides were unsupervised so I'm amazed we didn't see any limbs chopped off on the carousels. Nice location in the woods and plenty of parking and all flat and easy access.

Bilkish M — Google review
Great for kids but don’t expect Disneyland for cheap. It’s very obviously not as polished and you can see people gardening and construction materials are lying around in some corners, things are being done in more of a family setting and not to create a perfect illusion.Waiting times are very bearable and attractions are fine for the kids, food is a bit pricey for the kids but good value for adults.60€ for a family of 5 is GREAT value though, so I’ll highly recommend this!
Thomas E — Google review
Lovely amusement park for kids and also babies. Great when you go on a sunny day. It gets crowded during weekends and bank holidays and the lines can get quite long. Be mindful as some of the rides requires a minimum height. The great thing is that you pay your entrance and you can enjoy unlimited ride. The entrance cost 13€ per adult and 10€ for under 1m05. The price of the entrance can vary (I paid 11€ for my entrance today).

Julia N — Google review
The park itself is not bad, plenty of rides for kids. We would have a great day if it wasn't for wasps. They're everywhere and park management doesn't seem to be bothered by the fact that it is dangerous for kids. You can't sit for a picnic as you're immediately attacked by wasps. When you're waiting for a ride in queue wasps are swarming around. There's plenty of trash and food leftovers left by kids and their parents but we haven't seen any cleaning staff, and that attracts even more wasps. When we've approached a reception to indicate this fact the answer was rather rude as "we can't do anything about that, what do you want us to do?" That's totally unacceptable as an answer and yet another indicator of how they don't care about their clients.

Nice place, great for even small kids, but sometimes they close the park without any notice on their web. I wasted 1 hour driving there, 1 hour driving back, kids were really sad. Don't go if you are far from the park. Their website is useless, do not trust it when it says "ouvert".

Kids can enjoy the most… they do have a few rides where adults can do. kids especially from the age range 2 to 5 can enjoy their day
J J — Google review
Great value, staff were nice. Lots of attractions even for my children who are less than 3 years old. Many of the attraction were “self service” meaning you start and stop the attraction yourself, age limitation were less strict which is great. As long as parents have common sense in what is adapted for their own children the attraction were available to younger age than what is mentioned. Spent half a day and our kids had lots of fun. Would definitely be back. Point negatives were that the food courts were rather expensive like any amusement parks, and the toilets were very old and dirty, and not adapted for baby or children (at least in the men’s bathroom)

Sights & Landmarks
One of those Parisian hidden gems for those who love History. This cemetery hosts the graves of Russian aristocratic families, artists, creatives, soldiers and civil people who fled their motherland after the Bolsheviks revolution.Although there is a map with the most famous graves, we do recommend to get lost among the epiceas trees and enjoy the beautiful sculptures and typical orthodox painted graves.

More precisely, the Russian part of the municipal cemetery of Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois, a small town 40 kilometers south of Paris. It arose in the 20s because the “Russian House” was located nearby - a shelter for elderly Russian emigrants. There are more than 5,200 Russian graves, where about 11,600 deceased are buried.Unfortunately, now quite a few graves are left without care and there is a serious danger that they will be destroyed. The Russian authorities allocated funds to pay for the plots and care of the graves, but local municipal authorities refused to accept this money for political reasons. Now all hope is for volunteers and voluntary donations.(Original)Знаменитое Русское кладбище.

(Translated by Google) It's a big cemetery, Russian I would say, you'll find tombs of famous people there. It seems to me that there was in particular that of Nadejda Teffi, a famous immigrant from Russia to France. The most impressive and unusual tomb is probably that of Rudolf Nureyev, dancer and choreographer. It made me happy to see a little swan on his grave, with a ballerina. But I invite you to explore everything of course. До свидания!(Original)C'est un grand cimetière, Russe je dirais, vous y trouverez des tombes de personnes célèbres. History Museums
The Musée départemental des peintres de Barbizon is a charming museum located in a former auberge where the renowned 19th-century painters of the Barbizon School resided. The museum showcases the living quarters where the artists stayed, with their decorations still visible in the dining and dormitory rooms. Visitors can admire an array of paintings by various artists associated with the Barbizon movement. Although explanations are primarily in French, there are English subtitles available for a compelling video presentation.
Wonderful museum and incredible video.Loved it!

Not so interesting… But it didn’t cost much to visit - it’s worth six euros

This is a wonderful, small museum based in a former auberge where painters of the Barbizon School stayed. You can see where they decorated many of the surfaces in the dining rooms and where they doodled in the dormitory rooms. Also a display of paintings by a number of artists. Explanations are only in French, but there are English subtitles on a short video that is well worth watching. We loved this museum!

Very small atelier/house where Millet painted his artworks and partly lived. There are 3 rooms, you can see a few of his original artworks and belongings including his palette, chair, clocks, religious books, easel etc….The couple managing this place is so warm and welcoming. They took the time to explain Millet and his way of painting etc… thank you for that!I highly recommend! I wouldn’t plan more than 30-45min here.

(Translated by Google) The first room gives an overview of the works of painters of this period and artists who lived or worked in Barbizon.I particularly liked the second room, Francois Millet first drew these models before reproducing them on the canvas and before painting them. I liked the accuracy of the line..Beautiful animal sculptures by Barye and Rosa Bonheur(Original)La premiete salle donne un appetcu des oeuvres des peintres de cette epoque et des artistes ayant vecu ou travaillé a Barbizon.J ai particulièrement aime la deuxième salle, Francois Millet dessiné d abord ces modèles avant de les reproduire sur la toile et avant de les peindre. Privately-owned 1622 chateau in gardens with 17 ornamental pools. Open Apr-Oct, weekends & holidays.
Beautiful chateau with gorgeous gardens! It’s worth visiting just to see the gardens. There is a beautiful cafe where you can stop and get snacks and a shop! The Japanese gardens are so serene and well maintained. The house is still privately owned and only open on the weekends and public holidays! Make a trip to visit this beautiful chateau!

Gorgeous place, you can spend hours walking through the gardens and discover amazing hidden corners. Loved the tea room as well. The castle gardens are dog friendly.

Make sure you check when they do guided tour visits inside the Château! My boyfriend and I went here and just to explore the beautiful gardens took 2 hours. It was truly incredible! The cakes were homemade and delicious! Because it was the end of the day the homemade desserts were 50% off!!

It is wonderfully quiet and the entire complex is incredibly well maintained. Wherever you look, there are always other great plants and buildings to see. The place is great for outdoor team building events and you can eat and relax in one of the farm buildings. The best thing is that cell phone reception is relatively limited, so you can enjoy the place with full attention.

I am so happy we stopped at this place and had a long walk in this garden. It was raining so we got to sit in the tea room and enjoy the view with a steaming pot of tea. There is a wifi in the tea room, the garden itself is gorgeous, people speak English and you can walk there after the closing hours (make sure to buy the ticket in the ticket office before 6 pm). I haven’t seen Château but there was a very small tourist group in front of it so I bet it’s enjoyable and not as stressful as other museums.

Huge park set around a 1600s mansion, with art exhibitions year-round & cultural events in summer.
Für Kinder (ca ab 6 Jahren) gibt es einen kleinen Spielplatz.(Translated by Google)Very beautiful, spacious castle park with a beautiful lake where you can go boating (30 minutes for 5 €). Very big park, well designed and furnished : benches, picnic tables (covered or not), some activities (riding horses, stroll on the lake,...)😀Unfortunately the castle only opened the 11/07/2020, because an exhibition is getting ready.

A spectacular setting of castle, park, woods, pond, open-air sculptures, and much more. The castle is now a museum of contemporary art. On my visit there was a first-class show about the meeting points of "human" and "animal." Everything extremely well taken care of, clean and safe, and not crowded; and everything free of charge, including parking, the museum, and the park itself. Very easily accessed by public transportation from Paris.
